To enable the creation of Journal Files, the CREATE_JOURNALS configuration keyword must be enabled. You may also configure the journal directory path and the retention period, or simply use the defaults. See Journal File Keywords for more information about VHS journal configuration. The VHS must be stopped and restarted after the configuration file has been modified, for these changes to take effect.
